I've had my iMac for four years or so, but I've never used Safari.I was used to using Firefox and stuck with it. But recently it's become such a resource hog that it becomes unusable several times a day. I've messed with extension and removed most of them but it doesn't seem to help much. So I'm willing to give Safari a chance, but it appears that it doesn't have a plug-in that allows direct video downloads to MP4 (or anything else for that matter) except for third-party programs. Is that a correct observation, or am I missing something? Video Downloader for FF adds a little arrow to the toolbar; click it and you can download any video file.
